Jo Hardy

Dr Jo Hardy(Jo de Klerk) is a veterinarian from the United Kingdom. She graduated with an honors degree from the prestigious Royal Veterinary College, and spent several years traveling as a charity veterinarian across Africa, before settling down in clinical work in companion animal practice.

She went on to complete a Masters in Tropical Animal Health, and a Certificate in Companion Animal Pain Management. Her clinical interests include canine and feline rehabilitation, neurology, complementary therapeutics such as acupuncture and laser therapy, and global veterinary practice.

Jo is an avid writer and public speaker alongside her clinical work. She has written two books of her own; Tales of a Young Vet and Tales of a Wild Vet and she is currently working on a series of breed specific books about dogs. Jo has been featured in Daily Express, The Guardian, and Female First.

She is a popular content writer for pet-related websites including Cormac & Archer, Veterinarians.com and Barking Royalty.

She is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the South African Veterinary Council. She was awarded in 2014 a Community Engagement Award and was a national finalist in the Norbrook Business Enterprise Awards.

Outside of her clinical and writing work, she enjoys horse riding, going for walks and music.
